when i left high school i wanted to be a mosaic artist, to do a study tour of europe & volunteer on mosaic projects & restorations in italy & spain. after 7 months in europe i did some technical training with other artist's such as anna minardo, deborah halpern & mina shaffer. i worked on the 'lynch's bridge project' - kensington, 'the history of the land discovery trail' - maribyrnong, 'bass coast shire foreshore redevelopment' - phillip island & castlemaine's 'a mother's seating place'. in 1993 i was the youngest founding member of melbourne's 'mosaic group'. i have exhibited at 'melbourne's living museum of the west', 'tolarno' in st kilda, 'the artist's garden' in fitzroy & 'saffs cafe' & 'buda house' in castlemaine. most recently i have been employed by helen bodycomb to work on her installation at artplay - birrarung marr. mosaic is now just a neglected hobby of mine, although i have been known to do the rare commission or tender.
